We rang and booked as it was the air show in Southport. There were 14 of us including children. The imperial has a good car park with some tables outside too. The interior is very pleasant and all the staff are well dressed. We found everyone efficient and pleasant. I had fish and chips they were delicious and the mushy peas too (I make mine at home, so I know good mushy peas! Everything was hot, crispy, and very enjoyable. My husband enjoyed the ultimate burger, again hot tasty and good portions. We tried the house wine which was very good too. Will definitely go again when in Southport. Worth the little extra walk beyond lord street.
Our family of four frequents this restaurant often and consistently has a wonderful dining experience. Our youngest daughter has a peanut allergy, and the staff is extremely attentive and proactive in addressing it. They always inquire about allergies when we order. The only slight downside is that they have raised prices a few times, resulting in a four-star rating from me. While the food may not be absolutely amazing, it is still quite good. The exceptional service from the staff and overall dining experience make it a great choice for us.
This pub was close to our accommodation in Southport, so handy for a drink or two! It is a big dining pub with lots of room inside and outside with nice patio seating areas and beach huts. There was a weekly quiz going on when we frequented and we joined in the music round. The staff were incredibly friendly and good at their job. The place was spotlessly clean including the toilets. We also looked at the menu which was impressive and we planned to eat there the next day but something else cropped up maybe next time we visit Southport!?
The waitresses at the restaurant were excellent, but unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. I ordered the chicken korma, but was disappointed to find only three small pieces of chicken and a watery sauce. The poppadoms were stale as well. All three of us ordered the Malteser and salted caramel sundae, but I received only half a Malteser and my mom received none. Overall, I would not choose to dine at this restaurant again.

Visiting Southport on a day trip, decided to walk into the centre. Passing The Imperial Joseph Holt pub had a sign advertising breakfast so decided to try it. Had traditional breakfast and eggs Benedict with unlimited tea and coffee. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent quality and enough to satisfy an appetite. High chairs clean and working properly with straps . Will definitely call again.
We recently celebrated my husband's 40th birthday with all of our family and friends at this restaurant. It was a wonderful night with delicious food and excellent service from all of the staff. We are grateful for the amazing experience and thank you all for making it such a special evening. Many thanks from the Foxley family.
We had a family gathering for Dad/grandads birthday as well as our daughter, grandson and granddaughter. Food was brilliant , service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Even though there was around twenty of us there. Would definately recommend it. Thank you all.
Beautiful food. Not a bad price. Plenty of inside and outside eating space including cute little colourful beach huts. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

Been few times with my son very nice ,good food, friendly staff lovely beer garden plus short walk to southport shops so will definatly be going back
