The Kicking Donkey

On entering, we immediately felt unsure about our booking, with a lot of screaming children running around, and a cramped bar area with lots of families. Whilst we completely understand a pub may be busy on a Sunday lunchtime, it felt more like we had entered a play area. Staff were lovely, friendly, and efficient, but did make a poor judgement in where they placed us. Four adults, will clearly not want to sit surrounded by screaming and out of control children. It would not have been difficult to seat us separate to the families, or try to keep an area at the furthest point where children were not seated. My partner spent a lot of his meal being poked, and messed with by the out of control...

The kicking Donkey is a great Pub with a warm friendly welcome and great foodwhich is all fresh and good quality! My Grandaughters loved their meal!!!
