A very beautiful place if you visit the gardens or if you want to get away from the hustle bustle. Depending on the time of day, it is a little overrun with children whose parents let them walk around the restaurant, but you can ask to sit away from them. You might have to wait a minute, but it's worth it. Can't blame the restaurant for sloppy parents. This said it is a family-friendly place that is also a beautiful place for brunch nicer without screaming children. First time here today. Absolutely loved it. We sat on the outside patio. We ate the breakfast burrito- which I recommend to eat with the salsa, the toast and jam-very light and natural jam, mimosas, and the beignets- which is what they are known for. We were treated wonderfully by our server and pampered here. I know we will come back again. Plenty of parking in the lot for Descanso Gardens. I ordered the vegan oat dish (which was fantastic) and the tomato toast—last seen in the photo—which was also delicious and perfect for a light meal. Parking is convenient, and you don't need to purchase a ticket for Descanso to dine here. The only drawback is that it can take a while to get a table, especially if you don’t arrive early or after the busy lunch hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. I highly recommend it!
The food is excellent, and the venue is charming. We ordered the fried chicken and beignets, both of which were fantastic, along with the French toast. The Mimosa Bar offers a variety of unique options, though I wish there were some non-alcoholic choices available! The service was quick and friendly. I recommend making a reservation on the weekends.
