We spent one night at this hotel and dined at their restaurant. The bar was lively and parking was easy. We were promptly greeted and check-in was simple. This was the cheapest room we stayed in during our 18-day trip through England and Scotland. Our room was comfortable and even had a bathtub. There were plenty of outlets for charging our devices, and the radiator and towel heater worked well. Dinner was excellent, with attentive service from two young female servers. We enjoyed carrot coriander soup, sautéed mushrooms in creamy garlic sauce, lamb shank with herbed mash and green beans, beef lasagne, chips, and a fudge brownie sundae. Everything was delicious and we had a great visit.
the employees are very efficient and service was excellent. we were a bit disappointed by some of the missing elements on the menu (mussel, bananenparfait etc). like these were one of the reasons we booked. the salmon had burned the skin and had a little swim in the petersilien sauce. for the £21 I would have paid for the dish, it would have been nice to have a duck breast and not only 2 thick slices that, when together saw as if I had been served half a portion. the menu is original, however, and I know that they are some supply problems of late. would recommend to eat here, but ring before if they are after a certain dish!

The Knife and Cleaver is an lovely place to spend a romantic evening, it was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. We were recommended to visit by lovely Tom our waiter when we last visited their sister gastropub The Anchor in Aspley Guise and we were not disappointed, the whole experience was great, the whole team of staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble, the room was beautifully furnished and clean, we especially love the coffee machine! And our evening meal was gorgeous! It is a lovely gem situated near a church in a peaceful village that will be very happy return to, thank you for everything x

last Saturday evening we visited the knife and dignified to dinner and have to say that we enjoyed it very much. the staff was beautiful, attentive, but not excessively so and that was also nice to eat. the beer was also well kept. after some recent occasional decisions, it was a joy to get somewhere local fins that crossed all boxes. well done team, we will be back soon!
during the midday there a quick bite. space was quite empty. decor in pub area is fantastic. service was timely and staff extremely polite and helpful. would not hesitate to come back. eating was good, but there was nothing special. it could do with a little more spicy? prizes in my consequent with other Gastro-Pub I did.
Such a charming spot with a fantastic staff. The service is top-notch and the food is absolutely incredible!! Rooms were exceptional and the location was perfect. Highlights of the hotel include its peaceful atmosphere, child-friendly environment, and incredible value.
Very helpful and informative staff with good recommendations on what would be the best meal for the day. Meals were of a good standard. We enjoyed very much the ambience of the restaurant and would recommend for that special occasion.

We stopped by for lunch and were impressed by the friendly staff and delicious food. We did not utilize the hotel services, but we would rate the overall experience as a 5 for both service and location.
as a birthday present I had the filet steak. on a large cripple with pate. served with baby strain broccoli and fondant kartoffel. simple, the best steak I've ever had! it was faultless!
