The food is the best thing about the Raj-delicious. A good choice of the usual fayre, with a few Raj specials but not the widest choice I’ve seen. Delicious grub though, cooked and served up quickly and efficiently. Nice decor and a good pint of Cobra. What lets the place down though is a small, confusing “car park”, and the service that goes with the meal. When I parked at the end of the front of the building, right next to a sign declaring that the space was “For Restaurant customers only”, a man in a small red car beeped at me and suggested I park on the roadside at the side of the building. We drove through the other day and stumbled over this little jewel, ended up pulling in when the children were very hungry, we sat immediately, although it looked pretty busy, and were seen too immediately by a beautiful waiter. We were served within half an hour and the food that arrived was fantastic and by a very high standard. I'll be back! The service and the staff we treated were professional, helpful and friendly. There was a wide selection of drinks and would recommend everyone out there! The atmosphere was really relaxed.
I ordered a vegetarian dish with medium spice, received chicken dish, asked the waiter to replace the dish and make sure it is medium spice, waiter finally brought vegetarian dish, but didn't take into consideration that it was meant to be medium spice, I struggled to eat it because it was too spicy. Waiter spoke very poor English which didn't help. I have noticed that a bottle of water was significantly overpriced as well. It was one of my worst restaurant experiences.
Great ride, even better restaurant. Really lucky to have this locally as it can be the best Indians in the northeast. The takeaway here is great, every dish I've ever tried was delicious and brilliantly cooked. The restaurant is always criminally empty, so it is worth booking a table and eating the food somehow even better when it is hot and fresh from the kitchen.

Ordered 1 hour 40 minutes ago and still no delivery. Told by restaurant it was with driver, called again as still no show and told the food hadn’t left and would be another 20 mins or so. Order cancelled and a lot of wasted time. Disgusting service and rude staff. Won’t be back, this place has gone down hill in last couple of months, new management perhaps?
We are regular customers here, both eat in and away and have never been disappointed. Our daughter was at home for a visit so we booked a table and the meal and service were excellent as usual. The standards never seem to slip, and you are always made to feel welcome. So glad to have such a good restaurant so locally.
Really poor service had to wait 25 minutes for a booked table and then another 5 for the menu. Forgot to bring a side dish we had ordered, asked twice and still didn't arrive. Food was average. Did not even have the option we wanted for dessert either. Won't be coming back.
Disappointed. Food used to be so good here. Now their mild dishes are so sweet! Could be served as dessert. Their dishes used to be rich and aromatic. Now bland and sweet. Still very nice decoration. Shame .

Great experience, wonderful food, full taste and so glad to see place occupied, vibrating with people waiting for a table to be free.
Staff could be a little more friendly. Plenty of choice food wise lovely decor and good food and drink. Defo go back
