The Liquorice Gardens (wetherspoon)

This bustling, traditional Wetherspoons has the familiar vibe you expect from the chain. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices offer good value for money. The interior may feel a bit dated, but it serves its purpose. Conveniently located in the town center, there's ample parking nearby, including free off-road parking all day on Sundays after 6 PM. Absolute value for money, breakfast is beautiful, we literally have so many meals here. The manager Courtney is amazing all the staff are very happy and friendly. The food is excellent value for money, good quality, really nice. Would recommend the smashed avocado muffin but without the coriander. All the main meals are lovely and the mini brownie desert with ice cream is incredible, has a great sense of community! Well done team! Especially courtney : Stacey and Caz are also so happy, friendly and smiley.

This is a welcoming establishment with friendly staff and locals who are open to conversation if you're interested, but they also respect your space if you prefer to keep to yourself. There's ample seating available, including an outdoor area for those who smoke or vape. The menu offers tasty, traditional pub fare, and hot drinks are only £1.45 each for five. Overall, it's a lovely place to visit.

Was staying at the Travelodge nearby and decided to go for a walk where I found the local Wetherspoons looks good outside and very spacious, the inside had lots of tables to choose and very spacious, food was reasonable had the spicy half chicken some of my chips where still frozen, the staff were friendly. Ten of us attended the liquorice Gardens yesterday. Staff were unfriendly. One meal missing and my friend had an hair running all the way through her fish. When complaint was made chef came out, long blonde hair no hat or hair net not even tied back absolutely shocking

The food was delightful, and the prices were very reasonable. The pint that came with the meal was excellent. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was quick, and the staff checked in promptly to ensure everything was satisfactory. I would give it 5 stars!

Great refillable coffees, hot chocolate and tea. Food is verified and reasonably priced with offers on throughout weekdays. Hardworking staff helpful and polite.
