This Eatery hasn't been open all that long - but obviously long enough to build quite an impressive Clientele. Externally it looks like what it is called, SHACK" but it is comfortable, spacious and for those that simply can't go out without watching the Telly there are several of 'em in strategic places! No one to greet you as you enter so we called out a Staff member who shouted back sit where ever you want. We (me and 3 teen boys) had been before for lunch and it was ok. Greeted nicely. It was a promo for the cocktails and I like it, the boys was not complaining about the food at all.(Almost) second time was today, which was a dissapointment. Only one guy standing at the bar, talking nicely with an old couple. We walked in, not greeted or seated at all then we found our own way to the seat. No other customers in the house. Then waiting for a while, finally I asked my boys to grab the menu by them selves. Still ignored and the guy still had chit chat nicely with the couple. No sign of acknowledgment or anything about our existence.Then we gave up. We decided to walked out and find some place els...
Visited for a Saturday lunch before a movie - so noisy thanks to Lazertag being next door...not the restaurant's fault but it is distracting...now for the food...When will I learn never to expect crispy salt and pepper squid - yet again below standard, not many dining and it was still soft and the chips were soggier...I suggest the food sat on the pass for a while and the waitress advised, no it's just that they have switched to a new type of chip and they are never crisp...Why continue to serve these. The aioli was a very strange taste and not touched, even adding some citrus from the lemon wedge didn't help...I will seriously think twice about coming back.
We have been frequenting The Local Shack for the past few months, prior to attending Tuesday night movies. Its been really fabulous and enjoyable, up until last night. We had a glass of beer knocked over onto a friends dress, order taking and delivery was messed up and delivery of cutlery did not eventuate with our meals. In fact, 3 of the meals came out just 10 minutes before the movie started, and that was not because we ordered late! Apparently, the previous manager has been transferred to their Joondalup site, which is a great shame as he was brilliant. Hopefully, this is a one-off incident and our experience next time will be much improved.

Cool atmosphere and layout to this restaurant. Service was good. It was Sunday lunch and very quiet. We had sliders and chips. The sliders tasted nice, especially the blushing Aussie, however the patty was way too small for the buns or vice versa it was too much bread. :(. The shacks famous chips maybe not so famous in my book. Way too many herbs, and to be charged for ketchup is a bit steep.I would imagine this place attracts parents waiting for kids from parties and movies, I would maybe return to try a full burger again minus the famous chips.
Located upstairs left of the cinema, The local Shack, never been here before, soon as I came here with my partner, greeted at the door, menu prices were amazing, food was FANTASTIC and DELICIOUS. Staff were friendly and The manager was outstanding, would recommend to anyone who's never been before and PERFECT prices. Coffee was amazing $2 for a REGULAR I was amazed
Went here with a group of 9. The waitress did not know the menu but must say it was a brand new menu. Entrees came out with the mains, our bruschetta came out like a sandwich with avocado and poached eggs which the menu didn't mention at all. Not good when you're allergic to eggs!!! Wouldn't go again.
Very nice food, that comes in small sizes. Allows us to choose a variety. Great family atmosphere with games for children and adults (Connect, Jenga). Excellent service. We found it a little pricey.

food was excellent, and timely. came in prior to a movie, so was a bit rush rush, but service was fast and food excellent, need to come back when i have more time to relax through a meal
My mum and me come to eat almost every week. We absolutely love the food and service. The quality of the food is always good, the portion size is great. And the staff are alway friendly.
