The restaurant had a shabby and uninviting atmosphere. The women's restroom had a strong foul odor and was not well-maintained, with litter on the floor. The Pepsi Max I ordered was watered down and the glass was dirty. When I asked for a new glass, the uncooperative waitress with dark hair and a plaid shirt carelessly transferred it to another dirty glass. The nachos I ordered had guacamole that tasted frozen and lacked cheese, while the tortillas were stale. The pub was in disarray, with a dark and cluttered interior, empty tables covered with dirty dishes, and no clean seating available. There were unruly children running around.
We made a pit stop in Oadby on our way somewhere else and decided to grab a bite to eat at the Lord Keeper during lunchtime. It was packed with people wearing tracksuits, making it feel like a Sports Direct store had moved to Oadby. The food was mediocre at best – my burger was lukewarm, the lettuce was wilted, and the chips were soggy. My daughter's chicken strip meal suffered from the same issue with tepid chips. My wife's deli wrap meal was also unimpressive, with the chips being lackluster and unappetizing. Overall, the food was bland and unappealing.
My Wife and I went for a meal on Wed 12th June around 4.30pm, both our meals were just excellent and the service was really fast, we just couldn't fault it and all at an incredibly low price, we will certainly be going again soon ! The only one small down side was that the room temperature is always cold in this pub, we have complained over many years about it but nothing is ever done, but it's worth putting up with for the food quality and service
