What a bad start to this meal.... Already a bit dubious about visiting due to their recent 1 Star food hygiene rating so for a bumpy start didn 't help settle our doubts but we like to give people chances and as we had seen on FB that there had been some misunderstanding regarding the food hygiene rating we thought what the heck! My parent’s visit the pub recently in the car. As they live very locally they usually walk and missed the signs regarding logging their car registration. On previous visits when we have walked we had been asked at the bar if we were parked in the car park. On this occasion they weren’t asked and simply forgot to log their registration. My Dad had proof from bank statements that they were in the pub at the time and date of the fine but The Magnet have still seen it fit to charge my Dad £20.00. Surely they could have wavered this for this first time and he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Watch out if you go here got a £100 fine for parking in the customer CP when I was a customer, unfortunately it was raining very hard when I parked there and knew it was the customer car park as had been many times before but did not read additional signs due to the heavy rain, appealed the fine and explained I was a customer but was advised my appeal was turned down as I did not follow info on new signs, won't be going again, disgusting.

Called into the magnet on the way to wheldon rd for cas's last home game. I've travelled from bridlington so was in need of nourishment. The menu is traditional so everything will be familiar to people. The food was v. nice and the coors and carling pints were top motch. Reserva una mesa ahora

Went in for a lunch, was the worst unfriendliest welcome. Constantly being watched over, both staff lady’s were so rude. They clearly don’t want any customers. The establishment should be run by more experienced and welcoming management. Won’t be returning.

Thank you for providing us with a wonderful and varied buffet lunch after the funeral of my mother in law. It was absolutely splendid and all who attended were thoroughly pleased with the food, the room and the service we have received. Thank you Alan.

Amazing food. Loads of it. Great prices. Lovely friendly staff. Cant recommend enough. It was super.
