Amazing amazing food!! My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed every bite of both our appetizers (Carpaccio Burrata) and our mains (Shrimp risotto and Chicken Parpadelle). You would never expect to have your pallet blown away from the outside of the restaurant but WOW, definitely worth the stop when in Canmore or the detour when driving by. Had to give 4 stars because the service was mediocre. Although our server was very nice, he did not come check up on us as we ate our meals to see if we were enjoying our food or needed anything more (even though the restaurant only had a handful of other patrons). If you're looking to get away from the downtown core, the Market Bistro is a charming spot. Service was excellent. Accommodating, kind and attentive staff. Food is delicious. There were 3 in our party. We had the Eggplant Sicilian and Garlic Shrimp as appetizers. As entrees we chose the Mushroom Risotto, and 2 pasta dishes. One was Penne with Burata and the other was the Penne with chicken. Both fresh tomato base sauces. We were all happy with our choices! No room for dessert but that allows us to return to try some! We all split a nice bottle of red and overall enjoyed the experience and quaint ambiance. Definitely recommend!

All these reviews say the food is ingenious have never had ingenious food. The French onion soup was too strong, and the ducks were good, but not great. The flavors were simple. The service was slow, although we ate at 4:30 and the place was almost empty. Our server was confusing to talk to us and much to whisper. And the music they play is terrible!

What a lovely little restaurant! The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food was tasty and presented beautifully and the menu had interesting choices including a wonderful craft beer selection. We will be back for sure!
