We recently moved to the area and stumbled upon this charming restaurant, which immediately caught my attention with its delicious croissants. The atmosphere at Kurbrede was amazing and it was bustling with happy faces. Despite being short-staffed, the service was friendly and we were seated promptly. Although the sandwiches were on the smaller side, they were tasty and the sweet tea with cloves was exceptional. The soups were flavorful and served piping hot. As we waited for our main course, we indulged in a scrumptious apple cake that the server mentioned was made from scratch by his grandmother. We had a trial dinner at the marketplace. Luke was so easy to work with and very helpful with ideas! We live out of town, but the wedding and rehearsal was held in Pinehurst. He kept in contact with me, offered suggestions regarding the menu, allowed me to come and decorate the tables before dinner and helped me together a cake I made and traveled 3 plus hours to bring to the restaurant! Everyone who attended the event loved the food and enjoyed Luke's simply walking fun loving personality. Ava, one of his employees, was also a great help! She was very personal and jumped directly to help with everything. She even cut and served the 3 layers of cake with fruit! I can't say thank you for all...

My husband and I ordered two smoothies, a bacon and corn sandwich, a roast beef sandwich, a chicken salad croissant, and finished with a piece of cheesecake and chocolate cake (we were really hungry, I swear!). To our delight, we were given a free chocolate chip cookie at checkout. The sandwiches were definitely a highlight, especially the bacon and brie. We left more than satisfied. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we were well taken care of. There was a slight delay in receiving our sandwiches, which was the only downside of our visit. Despite this, I would still give The Market Place a 5-star rating due to the overall positive experience and great service.

My parents live in Pinehurst they are both in their nineties and I order their sandwiches, salads and soups from the Market place. The food is always fresh and has a great presentation. I had an appointment and arrived early, so I decided to have lunch at this restaurant. The menu was simple, but had a good variety of sandwiches, soups, coffee, and desserts. I opted for the lunch special which included a half sandwich, soup, and chips. The bacon and brie sandwich was delicious and the portion was generous.

Great local spot with a variety of options. Have had a majority of their sandwiches by way of catered lunches at work and each one has been delicious. All the one star reviews seem to be solely due to political stance rather than the quality of the restaurant and food itself….

Everyone must experience the bacon Brie melt on a croissant because it’s exactly that….an experience! There’s this amazing jam on it and it literally melts in your mouth. Then pair it with homemade cheesecake with that same jam drizzled on top
