The food from the marketplace Café is amazing, but I am less than pleased with the bakery. I wanted to order a cake for my daughter 's birthday. It was expensive, but still at a competitive price. However, they wanted $10 more to put raspberries on it.I was fine with paying that because fruit is expensive and it is not a part of the usual cake. But then they wanted another $10to put some freaking icing roses around the bottom of the cake and another $2.50 to write happy birthday, which I found to beboth greedy and petty. Preordered a panini, got there, waited 15 minutes in line to get to talk to someone to find out they leave online orders in the back by the back door. There’s no sign anywhere to notify you of this, it doesn’t tell you when you order, and the waitstaff seem to be aware but don’t care. So I ordered a $17 cold sandwich that I tipped for online for no apparent reason. Other than that it was decent for a cold panini. Great cafe with wonderful, helpful staff. I had lunch there and took a sandwich to go for dinner, it was that good. Loved the fresh ingredients and vibe of the place. Will be back on my next visit to the Berkshires.
