We accompanied our daughter to Ossett to pick up her wedding dress for her wedding on Saturday 15th July. We parked up just opposite The Maypole, so we had lunch. Drinks to start while we checked the menu. Steak pie chips and peas for my wife and I, Scampi chips and peas for our daughter. We all agreed the food was spot on! Congratulations to the chef. Service good. We would recommend a visit.
Our friends have just moved into the area and we did not know anywhere to eat. Walked into town and saw The Maypole and decided to give it a go. We had the 2 for £7 menu as we only wanted a teatime snack. Fish and chips for 2 and scampi and chIps for 2 all with mushy peas. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, spacious interior and clean toilets. A winner all round. We will be back. Well done.
I went to the restaurant and ordered two bacon sandwiches, a black coffee, and a latte. It was similar to a Wetherspoons. The service was very quick and the sandwiches were delicious with plenty of bacon, and they were only £1.99 each. The coffee was tasty, hot, and strong. The staff were very polite.
We called here for our evening meal and the meal was really nice. But it appears we were only just in time as they stop serving meals at seven. My meal came out wrong but the staff sorted it out very quickly and I must say the prices were very good. Reserva una mesa ahora
The Maypole is a typical city pub that is spacious and cozy. It features a pool table and TVs where sports games are shown. The food is decent and reasonably priced.
excellent pub with decent beer and store prices in and the music is absolutely fab I would recommend this place in any case for a great weekend nightout
Only eaten here once and that was breakfast. It was vile, hence my non return. Full breakfast with the worse hash browns I've ever eaten
