I have always been an ardent fan of the Meat and Wine Company's succulent, juicy steaks that they cook to perfection. I visited last night and for a change chose the pork ribs. So delicious I wanted more. I have never tasted such delicious pork meat touched off with the tangy hot Portuguese sauce and creamy mash. The meat melted in the mouth and just fell off the bone. You could suck on that rib cage for hours. As a regular traveler to NYC, Texas, Louisiana, Florida and California I know all bout great ribs but these really stack up! I cannot recommend them more highly. YUM!!
Went for lunch on a Saturday early in August and had a magnificent meal. It was a quiet day, not many diners, but still a nice pleasant atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The meal was magnificent, tender, melt in the mouth steak, a steak and prawn skewer which was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked.We had the apple pie for desert and were very pleased we did. Our experience at The Meat and Wine Co in South Yarra met all expectations. We can certainly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine food.
As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and shown to your table. The seating is on different levels, so it feels much more intimate as you're not seated with large groups around you.The entrees were great and the steaks were good and cooked perfectly. I must say I have a problem with being charged for accompanying sauces but at least it was stated on the menu and you have a choice.Staff was attentive and wine list was good.An enjoyable evening.

If you love good steak, this is the place for you. Friendly and efficient staff coupled with great food and nice ambience make this one of my favourites. Would highly recommend the rib eye on the bone. Loved the fact that the soft drink came in a cold bottle which you could serve yourself rather than getting a glass of watered down home brand soft drink.
Did dinner here after a wine tasting. The interior decor is great. Service was friendly and efficient. Did a combination meat dish, salad was good and enjoyed the Bleasdale Malbec. Prices on the high side.

I love the fillet with amazing American chili sauce, and lovely crispy chips! And yep, don't forget have a cute dessert! Service is also pretty
