Experience was well below standard. I normally go to other Wetherspoons in the area and generally have a good experience. Tables upstairs were dirty and had clearly not been cleaned since the night before (crumbs, drink stains on most tables). Staff were too busy chatting with each other to provide a good service. Barman who took my order was miserable and seemed annoyed/unwilling to make adjustments to my order. Food arrived lukewarm, which was not helped by the server standing around loudly talking across the room to a colleague with the plates in her hand. We met up with my son for a meal on a horrible wet windy day. It wasn’t packed in this spoons. Felt chilly in there. Asked the bar man if they could clear/clean the table after he took our food order, which he did. Waited over half an hour for food. Went up to the bar to find out where the food was. Man said ‘you’ve only waited 7 mins, there was a half hour wait’. No way was I told this, even when he cleaned the table. The food arrived. Fish and chips and two steak meals. Not nice at all. It was like they’d over cooked them and then left them standing. We ate bits of meal as we were hungry but we won’t be going in that particular Spoon's again.
Ordered a nice bottle of rosé on the app (not cheap by ‘spoons standards) given plastic cups with it. Asked the guy for wine glasses he bought over one, even though there were two of us. Went asked at the bar was very rudely told none were clean. He then gave me some waffle about not being allowed glasses?! Staff need some training as they’re rude incompetent.
We visited the Mechanical Elephant yesterday. We had fish chips and some drinks. The staff from the manager down were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The pub was clean and airy which was refreshing on a very hot day. The food was delicious and we spent a couple of happy hours there.

The staff at Minging are friendly, the food and prices are good, but unfortunately the restaurant is in need of a thorough cleaning. The disabled toilet is used by everyone and smells terrible. It would be improved if the toilet required a radar key, as it was dirty and filled with urine.
Went in here 2 days ago with my son. Have to admit the worst one I have ever been in. They had the strangest staff I’ve seen ,especially a young lad who just stares at everyone. The atmosphere was dead The inside was grubby and dirty. We had one drink and had to leave and never return.
Don’t usually post about restaurants especially a Wetherspoons but myself and my dad was out till late and with most places being shut it was nice to see how quiet it was in here, staff were friendly and had two curries with two drinks, service and food was lovely so late at night!
Dirty. Below average food. Incorrect order. Disappointed because we usually enjoy dining at this restaurant chain. Staff were friendly but understaffed. Unbelievable that they ran out of children's pizzas !!!

The accessible bathroom was appalling, with urine all over the floor. Customers were frustrated by the long wait for the disabled visitor, as the staff seemed overwhelmed and rushed off their feet.
Unbelievably hostile staff members. Avoid at all costs! The drinks are what you expect but management has turned the place into a horrible environment.
