4/5/2022 This was a great little local restaurant. They treated us great and gave us recommendations for what to drink and eat. I would definitely come back here and bring more guests! You also take reservations, so if you have a group, best use this service. The Tavern Burger was crazy!! The cheese curds were the best I ever had in Ohio!! The entire layout is beautiful and it was pretty cool to go their backdoor because you can see the entire layout of the restaurant. My group had the meat and the pulled pork sandwich!! Everyone loved it. If I had a mild criticism, I would say that the riders were a lil that was heavy on the season side. That was it, but I ate everything so it wasn't bad.
We ate a wonderful dinner with drinks and dessert. The decor was so extraordinary that I asked the waitress, Destiny, to tell me about the building. She brought Liz the manager/owner. Liz was so friendly and told us about the building that was built in 1880 and showed us everywhere. The building was part of the old Metropolitan Bank. There was so much history in the building. You have changed old doors from the apartments upstairs to dining tables and my favorite thing were the old heaters that were reworked as large table tops. The food, the service and the atmosphere were great! Thanks to the Met staff that we feel so special. We will definitely come back!
We had the chicken marsala half part and the meat dew. It was really great! I thought the tastes were there! I had the red wine mix and my husband had the Sangria, which was also delicious. Service was good, the place was quite empty, but it was late (after 6:00). The server was very attentive and friendly and even told us where to eat breakfast in the morning. The cook even has some bread pudding on the side for our dessert to go what cheesecake was, also excellent!
I recently held a book launch for my debut novel at The Met and the attention to detail was outstanding. Liz assisted me in selecting the perfect space, arranging the setup, selecting the menu, and even promoting the event on their social media platforms. The level of customer service was exceptional and the food was delicious, not to mention the excellent waitstaff. I highly recommend contacting The Met for any group gatherings.

I recently hosted an event at The Met for a book launch (Rock Bottom, Tennessee) and the attention to detail in the planning exceeded my expectations. Liz went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect and even helped me promote the event. The ambiance of the restaurant was exceptional as always, and the staff were top-notch. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event here, it truly is the best!
Welcoming, warm and accommodating. With our reservation booking we informed them of an allergy restriction (which is sometimes a challenging allergy to accommodate). When we arrived they not only took the time to review every menu item in advance for the allergen, they even made a customized menu to remove any guess work while ordering! They also make one hell of a delicious martini!
AMAZING The food is absolutely delicious! I had a half portion Harvest Salad and the Salmon. The salmon came with wild rice, barley, and quinoa and asparagus. I taste a hint of chili! The bartender kindly whipped me up a mocktail (no alcohol). It was great! The building is historic and the food is fantastic. My server was friendly and helpful. 5 stars all around!
I ate here for the first time today while I was in town for business. The food was extremely flavorful I had the smoked taco meal 4 different tacos), and the atmosphere was great! The waitress was nice, made recommendations to me was attentive to my table. Definitely recommend The Met, and I will for sure eat here again when I come back to Lima.

We arrived early and were seated immediately. The whole restaurant was full as we left so 5:45 turned out to be a good arrival time. The appetizers were excellent. Everybody enjoyed their entrees and the service was attentive. Drinks were kept full and plates were cleared as needed. Would definitely return based on this visit.
I have the atmosphere here. The service was great. The food is wonderful here. It has a lot of character. I recommend coming here if you want a great culinary experience in Lima.
