Visited today with a group of friends and found this was a supremely organised and professional establishment. The staff were friendly, helpful and obliging and the food was as good as we have had in any local pub. I can only say that the Stilton...burger I chose was the best I’ve had anywhere. The others in the group enjoyed their meals too. It’s clearly an historic property but offers a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. This is one I would return to before too much time passes. It’s worth mentioning to that menu prices are reasonable so what’s not to like?
We always choose the Monty for our team meals and it never disappoints. On a cold Tuesday in January we were a table of really well looked after by the crew on the night. Always friendly and relaxed service but with great food and...drink to boot. I could as could most of us eat a bucket load of their pate starter: SUBLIME. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the puddings just about finished us off. This is a great local pub with a lovely restaurant out the back. You should visit.
We booked for dinner while staying in the village. Excellent food. Service a little tardy due to a couple of large parties in so the staff were rushing about a lot! Unsolicited compensation was appreciated. Starter portion of shredded duck was huuuge; would have been...plenty as a main with some veg. Great location with options to eat in the restaurant, bar or conservatory. Busy even mid week, which says a lot to me.
Previously given the pub a review including the food. However... the restaurant was a let down. The room is open to the bar and kitchen. We were constantly entertained by the loud waiter and chef to banter' including some choice words. The food was...mediocre and value for money poor. Stick to the pub, avoid the restaurant and you will have a good time.

of us went for lunch.there is plenty of parking which is a big plus and inside the pub is a lovely quaint feel.the service is abit hit and miss.we all had a burger one of us asked for one with stilton cheese but when...they arrived all four burgers came with cheddar cheese.the burgers were just ok but they dis have certain things missing off the dish
First time hear and how lovely it was.. easy to find and plenty of parking.. The food is amazing, absolutely worth ever penny.. The staff are friendly and attentive. And they have a lovely play area for the kids.. my little one loved it.. We...all had different starts which were and we all had lamb children had the chicken.. will definitely be back
of us went for dinner for a birthday and it was just the nicest evening. Service was good, the food was great. I haven't enjoyed a course meal that much in ages. If you want a good meal this is the place. The...game is local and really good. The menu is one where you struggle to make a decision because it all sounds so great.
Went here for dinner two consecutive nights whilst we were staying at the Lower Farm b&b nearby Great drinks, food was good quality and service of a good standard There’s a nice outside area for when the sun is shining too, as it was on...our visit. Recommended

We have had the most amazing evening. The food was amazing yummy starters and gorgeous mains! Service is really great George was so helpful knowledgeable and professional he looked after us so well! Highly recommend amazing food and service!!!
