We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. The vegetables were very soggy and overcooked, and the beef stroganoff was more like a lump of bark rather than strips of meat as it should be. The stroganoff also had a strange taste of wine grapes. Throughout the meal, no one checked in to see if everything was satisfactory. This experience was a letdown during our stay in North Yorkshire, which ended on a disappointing note. Despite being recommended by locals, we cannot in good faith recommend this place to others. There was no empathy shown by whoever took our money, and we were left wondering if the owners even cared about the experience of tourists or just...

A return visit since our first, an excellent dinner last December, This time we were celebrating our 45th. wedding anniversary so had a two night stay to fully enjoy this delightful hotel on the edge of the N Yorks. Moors. Our dinner on the Saturday...could hardly be faulted and was good value for money. We had a pleasant, fairly spacious room, complete with walk-in wardrobe. As expected, breakfast on both days was hearty and tasty, we both had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs the first day and full English on the second. The bar has a lovely pubby air and there is ample outdoor seating plus a beer garden with extensive views of the surrounding moors. Definitely worth another visit.

We had previously eaten lunch here and enjoyed it that much that we decided to book again and to stop over for one night. We arrived with our dog to a buzzing pub just after they had finished serving lunch. Our room was ready on...arrival but we enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar first. The food was just as good as last time. We both had starters and then I had the hake and prawns from the special board which was delicious. My husband had the T bone pork chop which he said was excellent. I managed to force down the homemade cheesecake too. Breakfast the next day was perfect, they even had a sausage ready for our dog lovely touch. Will definitely be back.

While on a walk came across this Inn and had a drink in the sun in the back. The menu look brilliant so booked a table for later in the week. Very friendly welcome from the landlord and our choice of wine arrived very quickly....Waitress was lovely I had venison on a bed of haggis, wow, and my partner had a fish dish which she thought was wonderful. The real fruit crumble was the best I have ever had. Would highly recommend this Inn and would like to go back and stay Reserva una mesa ahora

I booked a couple of evening meals at this restaurant while staying near Gillamoor. Both meals were excellent and among the best I have ever had in a pub. The venison haunch was a high quality cut and cooked perfectly. We dined in the bar area, which was very comfortable, cozy, and dog-friendly, as they strive to be a country pub. The dishes were delicious and well-prepared, and the atmosphere had a nice mix of locals and tourists.

It was great to step inside out of the mist and rain. This is such a welcoming place with a lovely cosy bar and other rooms primarily for eating. The Millie George beer was spot on and the food was excellent with ample choice. I...had the pheasant which was great value at £12-95. There was a comfortable/friendly atmosphere. Charming staff. 8 en-suite bedrooms.

We ate here as we were staying at the hotel. There is plenty of choice on the menu and it is very good. All the staff are fabulous and we were looked after extremely well by Daniel and Beth, to name but two. We highly...recommend the Duck Salad as a starter. Reserva una mesa ahora
