Stop here for lunch .Great meal and GLUTEN FREE options.Thought food was a bit pricey but when it came out well worth every penny.well presented and delicious.I had the steak pie chips veg and gravey.my husband had the burger double chips onion rings, side salad.Also I did see the Sunday roast on the next table that looked lovely and they all had clean plates choose Turkey roast pork and beef Yorkshire pudding and veg and all the trimmings. Really nice cosy pub.Dog friendly.staff were lovely and friendly and doubled checked that everything was gluten free.will be back here on next visit.lots of room inside and outside.
I visited this restaurant for a funeral and was impressed by the staff's professionalism and the beautiful buffet they provided. The overall atmosphere of the pub was wonderful, with picturesque surroundings, good food, and a variety of seating options including private alcoves and large tables for groups. The restaurant also had a large parking area. Despite being 300 miles away, I am already making plans to return and stay in one of their fabulous rooms to explore the beautiful northern Yorkshire moors. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
We stayed in the Rose cottage out the back of the crown when exploring the Moors. What a gorgeous place in the gorgeous Hutton-le-hole. Jake the GM was so helpful too to arrange us dinner at the local Barn when the pub was closed on the evening we were staying, and he even offered to buy us some groceries in if we didn’t fancy that! The cottage was lovely with everything you need for a lovely stay. The bathroom was stand out with an amazing shower. We popped into the Crown the next day and had t
stay in shire is close. she was looking for a place with Sunday dinner on google. this place looked good, so there was a way. adult, free parking, friendly staff. table next to fire log. unfortunately no truthahn or bark, only pork. (not a big fan of pork) but that was the best pig I've ever had with crisp and big yorkshire pudding. To be honest, the food and the service was on site. Many thanks for a nice lunch to add to our beautiful weekend in shire stays.

This quaint old pub is located in a picturesque village. They offer a wide variety of dips and daily specials. The barman is friendly and the service is prompt, with hot and delicious food. The fish and chips were excellent, as was the steak pie, even though it was supposed to be shortcrust pastry but came with puff pastry instead. Everything was great and worth a visit for a tasty meal.
We enjoyed our experience at this pub so much that we returned just two days later. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Our food arrived promptly after ordering and was delicious at both visits. The beer selection was well maintained and served perfectly. The location and building are both beautiful. This may be one of my favorite pubs in Britain.
Absolutely fantastic, it was great to walk into a beautiful setting and be greeted by smiles and a very warm welcome from the staff. All very polite and helpful, knew the menu for gluten free options, offered assistance to carry drinks, just a pleasure to visit. Great value for money with the meals we had, all fresh and great portions. Highly recommend
Excellent food and top notch service. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly and made a big fuss of the dog. We love this pub and will definitely visit again.

Booked a table at short notice for a meal for 2 on a Friday evening. Pleasant staff, nice food and good service.
Good service, large outside area if you’re passing through on a hike and drinks are good value
