The Nutmeg Cafe - Reservar una mesa

I visited this place for the first time after changing the location of what would originally be the c* %a on the road. I was greeted by a lovely lady with a mysterious smile. my workmate and I choose a seat, and were asked what we want to drink, the one (I did not ask their names) was very helpful in the description of the different types and sizes of coffee that they could supply, I calm down on one of them and they turn into what seemed like a very fast fashion. the coffee was just after my taste and although I would normally not have two coffees in a row, at that time I did it. I would recommend the nutmeg caffe to one and all.

The cafe itself was friendly and the food pretty good but the toilet was disgusting. I’m surprised the Environmental Health department haven’t closed it down. Decaying wood and filth in the only toilet area was very off putting. I will not be bringing anyone back here. I was embarrassed and dismayed at the lack of care and attention in this small cafe. The Nutmeg needs some love.. but that is clearly in the ‘too hard department’ for the owner.

After recently moving to Hythe we thought we’d shop ‘local’ for breakfast one morning. Not overly impressed.Food was ok but served by the chef whowas not wearing a mask and my husbands comment on the waitress (owner? of ‘I don’t know why some people choose a career in dealing with customers when they have zero interest’ just about sums our visit up.Was busy though maybe we’re just not ‘local’ enough yet.... ‍

friendly staff. very clean equipment. had a very nice breakfast, partner had full English (already started to eat before the pick) I had mushrooms on toast with rocket and parmesan . many possibilities to breakfast. the main menu was diverse.

The food and the service was great, but we ordered the sausage and bacon sandwiches with what we thought was doorstep bread, but we got thick slice, which was advertised on the menu. Disappointed

Had breakfast here during a visit to Hythe. It was simply magnificent, food cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The staff were lovely and really made me feel welcome. I’ll be back……

Visiting from Australia, I chanced upon this cafe for lunch. The staff are lovely and friendly, service was prompt and the food delicious.

Lovely interesting, Mediterranean food. Often specials on the menu. Currently (Dec 2020) closed for Lockdown unfortunately.
