The only pub we could get a table for Sunday lunch on Fathers Day we took a chance (after reading some of the dreadful reviews) and booked. Sadly the poor reviews were correct. Split into two with an area for eating and a bar section it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon which gave a rather flat atmosphere. I will say all of the staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful so from the outset we felt welcomed and looked after. Sadly this was the only positive of the lunch. Four out of five of us ordered the roast beef, unusually for a pub, there was no wine list so when the order was taken our server reeled off a number of drinks we could order which was not ideal as we had no idea of price. When the meal arrived the beef was inedible it was so tough, the roast potatoes were so hard you couldn't get a knife through them and a rather dry Yorkshire pudding. Limited veg was served with the meal but the gravy was decent. The fifth diner ordered burger and chips and had no complaints. We did complain about the roasts and one meal was deducted. We were charged £18 a head for the beef roast my advice is save yourself some pennies and go to your local Toby!

Awful experience. Walked in through side entrance waited to be seated for 15mins. Walked round the front to very busy bar area waited again only 2 members of staff seen behind bar no restaurant staff. We have been before for lunch and have enjoyed the food and service. Im lead to believe that they do not serve dinner although i was able to book a table for dinner for 2 but the lack of staff and no one else in restaurant eating leads me to believe dinner isnt an option i wasnt time and parking money on this place. If you dont serve dinner do not let people book for dinner!! Absolute joke.

We had Sunday roast and it was delicious but took a while to come! We did have a large table though. We ordered chicken and fries for our toddlers but it didn't come as expected. It came as a roast dinner. Luckily our kids ate it! All very tasty. We had to keep standing up to order drinks and ask for the dessert menu and kids ice creams. Guys we're friendly but service very, very slow and nobody came over to ask if we neeeded anything etc Still would go back for Sunday roast but will ask for kids meal to come first due to the long wait. Thanks!

Not very impressed with this restaurant. Ordered a child's chicken roast and it arrived all **** on the inside it was raw chicken! Returned it and they cooked another one for us which still had blood albeit dried blood. Just didn't eat it in the end. The other child ordered a hummus and pita with a side of crudité. The crudité never arrived, we had to ask for it. Although the staff was pleasant, I wouldn't return to this place and would not recommend it.
