Visited for Sunday lunch for a birthday get together. Seemed very short staffed, the bar staff were having to leave the bar unattended to deliver food to tables. A simple 'won 't be a moment ' would have gone a long way instead of just being ignored and left stood at the bar without being served for a good five minutes. The food arrived, I like vegetables al dente, but the parsnips, beans and cabbage were very undercooked, half of our party had to change their choice of meat as by 1 o 'clock they had already run out of beef. Booked the red lion for my hen party, exclusive use of upstairs function room food ordered for 21 people. The food service were excellent, some of the food did come out a little later than the rest but as there were so many of us this was to be expected. No one had a bad word to say about any of the dishes we ordered, pretty much everyone had something different too so there was something for everyone, including vegan options. The staff were brilliant it was a fantastic afternoon. Thank you so much, I’ll certainly be dropping in for food another time soon!

We were unsure of where to eat while visiting the area, but we definitely made a good choice. The staff, Jake and Maddy, were lovely and had excellent customer service skills. The food was delicious, and I was hesitant to order the Sunday roast as I am very picky, but it was absolutely delicious. The value for money was excellent as well. Thank you from the four of us picky eaters.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. The food was excellent, especially the loaded potato skins which are a must-try! The portion size was generous enough for two people to share as a starter. The staff was lovely, two young gentlemen served us and they were very pleasant. Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice pub friendly staff and guests. Starters were lovely highly recommend the loaded potato skins, We had a steak sandwich, was normal bread though may be fresh bread steak was a bit chewy and also the rump main was bit chewy but otherwise the kids loved their burgers and puddings

We visited for Sunday dinner for the first time it didn’t disappoint. Beef and Turkey dinners went down a treat with a pint of Moretti a glass of Pinot. Both meats were tender juicy and the portion size plentiful. Staff were also lovely.

Sunday Lunch Lovely lunch of duo Sunday meats turkey and beef and a rump steak followed by a lovely pudding. Food was cooked beautifully and plenty of food on the plate. Staff were lovely and attentive lovely pub.

Previous visits have been ok food lovely however over the past mont or so pub has been absolutely freezing, almost half the menu unavailable and service shocking will not bother again Reserva una mesa ahora

The drinks were great, but we had to wait a long time for our food. By the time it arrived, we had almost finished our drinks, which was disappointing.

Highly recommended having food here definitely going again next week,staff so helpfull and very professional,our food was so nice and the dessert too
