The Old Corner Bank

We stopped for a drink or two on Christmas day, when hardly anything else was open in the town. The place was very busy, with mostly locals, but we found a table in the area nearer the road and spent a very pleasant hour relaxing there with our dog and chatting to others in the room. Staff were obviously busy, but coped as if they weren't : We'll visit again when we are next in the area.

Found this place by accident and we were not disappointed. The steak pie was outstanding and just what we needed. Lovely friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Would highly recommend. We will be back

Lovely Sunday roast, Lamb was tender and the best yorkie I've had in a long time. Great little restaurant area downstairs, will definitely return.

Hubby and I both enjoy the Sunday Roast. Good quality meat, plenty of vegetables and hot. Lovely staff, always polite and friendly.

Service was good, cheap. However locals were rowdy and not pleasant, harassing the bar lady. Doesn't feel welcoming

Fantastic food and very generous portions. Hunter's Chicken and hubby had gammon steak.
