The Old Storehouse at Amble

The storehouse is a lovely pub /restaurant on the site of amble links Northumberland. We decided to go for a meal prior to ending our holiday on 4th April. Unfortunately l wasn't allowed to eat anything solid due to an operation I'd had two weeks earlier. My sister and her son had a lovely meal, l explained to staff that l would need to have something either blended (they didn't have a blender) so l chose mashed potato, soft vegetables which l could mash with a fork and gravy. The mashed potatoes were rubbery and the vegetables were far from soft so that put paid to my meal as l couldn't eat it. Ignore the rating and recommend a friend as I am unable to rate. Turned up and the table had not been booked. Although I had my confirmation email there were no tables available. There were grandparents with us and we had to venture out to find somewhere else to eat which was not really practical. Grandparents which are on timed medication which have to be taken with food which made this delayed. However we did manage to find a restaurant to eat in but obviously was not ideal when we planned to eat here at this time. Thanks.

I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The price per person was between £10-£20, which I found to be very reasonable. The food was delicious and I would give it a rating of 5. The service was also outstanding, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well, with a cozy and welcoming feel. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal and great dining experience.

Really disappointed. Menu has changed and doesn't have enough choice, poor presentation, bland and undercooked even if frozen. Good place to stop on a walk. Good service. Friendly staff. Only knocked it down one star due to plastic glasses if you were outside. Understandable due to being next to a large caravan park and lots of children around.

Traveled far to be told they only sold carvery, (we only chose here for the menu). Carvery was basic and cold, had to open 2 doors to get to room where our table was.

Although the pub and area are nice, paying £45 for 3 Foster's beers, 1 lemonade, 2 bowls of chips, and 1 small portion of chicken wings is absurd.
