The Olde Stone Cottage Pub

As a customer who has been coming here for years. I can honestly say that I am very disappointed in the way this restaurant is taking a turn. I have always loved the great food and how happy and kind the people are. It really felt like a friendly place and unfortunately I witnessed some lady yelling and being extremely rude to the staff members last week and then came a few days later to witness it again… i was in disbelief to find out she worked there. Unprofessional and unsettling.

On the bright side, the food was outstanding. We tried the curry chicken, which was a delightful mix between butter chicken and curry, and the fish tacos, served with guacamole and well-cooked fries on the side. The flavors were truly amazing. The ambience was enhanced by the lovely propane fireplaces that were lit at dusk, creating the perfect setting for our meal. We will definitely return!

The atmosphere was fantastic, but the food was just average. I visited with my family and we tried the chicken curry, fish and chips, and bacon mac and cheese. We found the flavors to be a bit underwhelming—not bad, but certainly not exceptional. I believe that if they had added more sauce to the curry and mac and cheese, it could have easily been a four-star experience.

Food is always excellent. Great COVID safety precautions in place on the patio. In non-COVID times, the indoor is fabulous. A great place to go for a family meal or to go for drinks with friends. My local pub. Absolutely love it. Scarborough institution with great food and cozy vibes. Live music as well. Pictures are from a Sunday night. It’s hopping Thursday through Saturday!

A bitter sweet visit to honour an amazing friend. An historic building with great staff and delicious food. We will be back, and we remember all those that passed through the doors.

The atmosphere and service were very good. Food was mediocre. We ordered fish tacos and 2 pounds of chicken wings. We'll come back but will order different food for our next visit.
