We chose to try The Pie because we were in the mood for pizza, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Although we didn’t take any photos of the salad or breadsticks, they were both delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were also fantastic. All the pizza toppings were fresh, not pre-packaged or frozen. I enjoyed the crust, as I prefer it a bit thin, while my husband liked it thicker. When I requested extra sauce for dipping my crust and breadstick, it arrived hot. The service was outstanding; our waitress consistently checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this place, and I noticed they have other locations in New Orleans as well.
We decided to try out The Pie because we were wanted pizza. It was great. Didn't get photos of salad or bread sticks, but they were very good. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent also. All toppings on the pizza were fresh (not canned or frozen before). I love the crust because I like it a little thin, but my husband does like it thicker.When I asked for extra sauce to dip my crust and bread stick, it came hot. The service was was excellent. Our waitress kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. Would recommend. They also have other locations in New Orleans.
The Original Italian Pie was great. I will definitely return here. Clean tables and dishes. Attentive service. Modest prices. I ordered the chicken cacciatore. The marinara had a bit too much bell pepper so it over powered the flavor. I wish an actual breast had been served instead of slices of chicken. 4 stars due to the presentation being a bit sloppy. I could not identify the dish upon first visual. But overall a good spot to eat! I am looking forward to trying the pizza. Update: The pizza here is really good. I would definitely recommend trying any of their pies!
Don't order hummus. I can't talk in service because I have ordered to go. I don't expect much of a franchise. I should have ordered pizza. I Got the French Onion Soup listed under appetizers $5.49 medium and salty. Mediterranean Plate Appetizer $9.49. There were some raw leaves and grape tomato under two pots of dip. The **** of Hummus was the worst that I ever had from somewhere in my life and super thick and dry, could hardly swallow. Seriously, that was the best pizza I ever had. The crust was absolutely phenomenal, a beautiful mixture of crispy on the outside and chew on the inside with a hint of sweetness. Unfortunately, I was just visiting from the city so I could not enjoy the spectacular taste at any time. Very recommended, you will not be disappointed!
I'd give it a 4.5. The food was good, not great, because the pizza tasted kind of stale. Otherwise a great experience, promptly seated and the atmosphere was pretty quiet. The staff was quick and attentive. I'll go again and see if it was a one off event, or an every time thing.
