Original Mel's - Reserva de mesa

I'm giving 5 stars because the service/food was so fantastic. We were the first customers for breakfast and happily we were greeted by the waitstaff with smiles and a choice of seating. Mel's was clean and just the right temperature. So we were comfortable right from the start. We ordered and sat back to enjoy each others company while the kitchen worked their magic. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Had to put the craving to rest, okay? Our son had the chicken fried steak with eggs over easy and gravy on the side and a small order of fries. Hubs had the chorizo skillet. My waffles and chicken were perfect. So were my sons fries and that gravy! I tasted a tiny bit. Not salty and I feel like...

This location of Mel's is consistently enjoyable. The food is top-notch, and if it doesn't meet your expectations, the staff goes above and beyond to make it right. The service is truly what brightens my day. The servers always greet you with a smile, regardless of their own challenges, as they genuinely want you to have a fantastic dining experience. While everyone is great, I especially appreciate Veronica and Angela—two amazing individuals with distinct personalities. I can confidently say that visiting Mel's guarantees a wonderful time. The food is undeniably the highlight, but the warm welcome from these ladies makes it even better.

The food was excellent and the portion sizes were ample enough to satisfy my hunger. I visited for lunch, and although the restaurant was quite busy, the staff was very accommodating and quickly provided us with a table as soon as one became available. The table could have been cleaned more thoroughly, but I understand it was during peak hours. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was clean and lively.

The restaurant was great, a bit crowded which is a good indication that people really enjoy it. The food was delicious, and our waiter was exceptionally friendly. An amazing place for an American classic. My favorite go to meal is their chicken fried steak paired with either a root beer float, or a milkshake. Staff here are friendly and food comes out quickly.

50s style diner with home style food. Service is good and the comfort food hits the spot. Great neighborhood restaurant. The curb side pick up is great.

Great place for hamburgers or diner greasy spoon food. The fries are good. The service is average.
