The original Thunderbird Steakhouse has been owned by the family since 1956 and is known as ?go for cheese steaks in Philadelphia. I waited years to come here and I wasn't disappointed. Our waitress Gail was thrilled. She was fast to our icey tea drinks (which is also a must) and then the cheese steaks arrived. A squeeze of mustard and ketchup in the middle and then BOOM! Taste is alive. The texture of Sirloin meat with cheese and soft bread takes what could be seen as a steak roller to a culinary delight beyond faith. And to support this, they were the 2022 winners of the best Cheese Streak from Main Line Today Magazine. Say everything. But what else do you have? Much. Pizza. Burgers. Calzo...

Suppose we live 15 minutes on the street, but we went with the delivery. We have an order for delivery for 1 pizza at 6:15 and it said that it takes 45 minutes to process. Great, so we waited. I cried around 7:50 and asked me where it is, and the reception told me it was already delivered. nd the pizza finally comes at 8:10. It took an additional hour and 10 minutes after the 45 minutes of processing. Was told by the supplier who rushed to go after the pizza gave that the kitchen was secured and delayed. The pizza was cold when we got it. If the pizza is good there, great. But the delivery wasn't.

Right down the street from the Nicholas Smith train and hobby store, we stopped here for lunch. I had a cheese steak hoagie and my husband had a tuna salad sandwich and we shared an order of french fries. The food was great! The food wasn't overly seasoned and it was served hot and the portions were more than generous. Karen, our server, was very nice. Looking forward to a return visit.

Ok was back after almost two decades. Still amazing cheese steaks 100% of the gold standard. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Simply great strips, cold soft drinks and good service. Here I bring people to try a real cheese steak when they come to Philly.

For the first time on the way home. I had a cheese steak that was very tasty! If you like the old pizza shop environment like me, you will love this place! Great service!
