My mind is blown. A while ago i went to the oven downtown and had a long nasty hair in my food after waiting forever for it. They then proceeded to do nothing for it or about it. Didnt even take the hair with them, just left it at the table. Now i ordered for pickup tonight from this location because its closer to my house and tandoor indian cuisine is closed on Tuesdays. And once again there is multiple hairs in my rice and lamb curry. Back to back hairy meals at both locations. Along with terrible service. Good but not great. We are from out of town, so we can’t compare to other Indian restaurants in the area. Compared to Indian I’ve had in the past, this was average. A few little things we noticed: The side salad is just mixed greens with two cucumbers. I’d recommend getting the soup instead. The pakoras were a little soggy. The pastry could have been more crisp. The sauce for the chicken korma was runny and oily.
Went to a performance at the Lied center and finished the evening at The Oven. The dining room is dark and inviting in the best way. I love the masks on the north wall. Our server was pleasant and efficient and the food was great, as always. Wine by the glass hit the spot. You really can’t go wrong at The Oven. It’s not super fancy or pretentious and I think you get your moneys worth.
Food and server were excellent. We had a reservation. There were many open tables when we arrived. I asked the hostess for a table in the corner for some privacy. She responded that they had a lot of reservations and put me in between two tables where that were occupied by others. She was somewhat dismissive of me and my request.

We love the food and the ambiance at The Oven! Did not feel rushed, had an excellent waiter!!! We will return! Our favorite is ordering the Chicken Tikka to share, adding an extra soup, and adding a side of Korma sauce! So delicious!!!
The menu choices are extensive, with the lamb dishes most appealing to me. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The location is great with ample and easy parking,
We come down from Omaha to experience the food and the exceptional service at The Oven. Everything on the menu is fresh, delicious, and flavorful!
Food and wait service was excellent. Hostess acts like it’s a hassle to have to seat you instead of welcoming you to the restaurant. Very odd.

Food is always fabulous! Service was good but seemed a little distracted this time however this is uncommon. Highly recommend!!
