The Pantry Crest - Reserva de mesa

This restaurant is a fantastic European gem. The pork roast was incredibly tender, practically falling apart, and the Hungarian sausage was expertly prepared with a fine grind and accompanied by delightful vegetables. The potato dumplings were denser than I'm accustomed to, which could be a reflection of the difference between German and Czech styles. The drinks and desserts were equally impressive, particularly the Czech herbal liqueur (which is lighter than Underberg and has lovely honey notes), the Cherry Darling, and the hazelnut affogato.

The food was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. Our server took over 20 minutes to return for each set of orders—drinks, appetizers, entrees, and finally, the check. She was quite direct about which menu items were not recommended and which were safe to choose. Our overall dining experience stretched to over 2.5 hours on a Wednesday evening due to the slow service. I wouldn’t advise coming here unless you have a lot of time to kill.

To be honest, I used to be a fan of West. However, I was thrilled to see Bonnie at Crest tonight. She truly has a wonderful energy and we appreciated her warm hospitality. It was a fantastic, authentic experience that felt very genuine. We left feeling fortunate to have discovered such a gem. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
