Overall, The Penguin is a lovely, welcoming bar with a fantastic atmosphere that I frequently visit. I chose to hold my work's Christmas party here this year and it was absolutely fantastic! We had the entire restaurant area to ourselves and the staff went above and beyond with incredible decorations and delicious food. They worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect, and all the little details made it feel very special, especially the canapés and welcome drinks. We had a lovely Friday night at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. It was quite quiet for 6 o'clock and not too crowded. We had the option to choose where we wanted to sit as there were many available tables. The menu seemed a bit limited and didn't offer a wide selection, but overall we were all very satisfied with the meal considering the price and quality. The drinks were a bit pricey, but this is a family-owned restaurant, not a chain. If you're looking for a relaxed evening at a quality pub, then this place is definitely worth a visit.

The staff were extremely professional and friendly. The buffet was fantastic. We will definitely be visiting again under better circumstances, as it is sure to impress. The restaurant also has a dog-friendly outdoor beer garden, thanks to the owners for their assistance in making a sad day more bearable.
