The outdoor seating area is quite nice. Unfortunately, the ice cream stand was closed during our visit. We only ordered a few items, so there might be better choices on the menu. However, I found the chocolate chip cookie and another cookie to be overly sweet. The chocolate chip scone was just okay. The major issue was the kids' grilled cheese; it was nearly inedible. The bread was excessively thick, and it may have been stale, making it tough and hard for a small child to chew — actually quite dangerous. We visited on a Saturday morning between sports games, and we had to wait 50 minutes for our order!
There’s a lot this place does right. We love their coffee, their pastries and a lot of their lunch items. It’s also family friendly and a favorite amongst our young children. My only fault is their breakfast sandwich. Every month I try it hoping for something better but by local standards it just doesn’t cut it. Really it’s just a bad Kaiser roll. It always tastes stale and overly bready to us, even when toasted. It’s such a NY, CT staple and something most other delis, cafes around seem to get right. Everything else about it is great. Master the BEC and you have a customer for life.
I can't express how wonderful our experience was at The Porch at Christie's. The atmosphere is stunning and welcoming, with ample seating to enjoy their endless array of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, and more. After placing our order, we struck up a conversation with Andrea, the owner, who was preparing cookies at a nearby counter, and she couldn't have been more gracious! It was such a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to return!

This is a solid choice for lunch. The food was tasty, and I really enjoyed the taco bowl. I should have asked for hot sauce, but it was a bit hectic at the counter, so I didn't want to bother trying to get some after placing my order. The staff were friendly, and I don't have any major complaints in that area. Overall, it was an effective spot for a quick lunch with a group. Kid-friendly: I noticed quite a few families with kids there.

The panini was dry, and we waited an hour for just two sandwiches, which was quite disappointing, especially considering the prices aren't cheap.
The food is outstanding, and the country ambiance is delightful. The staff is extremely friendly and provides excellent service.

Very expensive but they employ people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, so I was happy to support them.
