THE PROMENADE RESTAURANT

We went here on a Sunday night for a family meal. Arrived at 7pm, and were seated.Atmosphere is OK, and probably nice view during daylight hours.Whilst the service was friendly, it was very slow. Having to wait half an hour to get our first drinks is simply not acceptable for a restaurant (even water on the table!).However, the food itself was nice, and would have got a 4/5 rating...no wow, but nice/good food...Given how slow our start was, we decided to order 2 drinks at a time to help buffer the service...but we still only got the 1 drink...and when we ordered again asking for something different, we got the same drink we originally ordered.If the staff were better trained, this would be a...

The food here was amazing!! Among us we had oysters, beef cheeks, sirloin and cod and it was all beautiful! What was outstanding was the service from the staff. Our waitress took our orders from memory and did another table on top of ours before going to put it through the computer and everything was right! Quick service as well, and the staff all gave great service to everyone, making sure we were 100% happy with our meal. Would definitely go back!

I've tried the Promenade restaurant for a weeknight dinner a few times over the years. Each time I have hoped it had improved. Sadly the service (though polite) was slow and lack lustre despite there being only four others in the restaurant. The food was over priced and tasteless. If only the food and service would match the view. I think I will give it a few more years before coming back!

We ate dinner here while staying in the hotel ( which we liked).Our advice would be to give it a miss. Good view, poor food. Have s drink in the bar and drink in the view, then eat elsewhere. It lives up to that adage - the better the view the worse the food. It is ordinary at any price and it's not cheap. Dinner was like second rate club food. Serving staff friendly but service slow. This restaurant was very busy but we received great service and lovely food. Servings were really large and neither of us were able to finish our meals. There were very few gluten free options on one menu (only one entree and one main) but the Asian menu had a number of options. The meal prices were average for a large restaurant.

Had steak and chips steak cooked well but chips had so much salt the chips were white because of the salt which ruined the meal and beer was past its best before date which is unacceptable

Great place for the family to eat, $65 per Adult, great spread of food, this will not be the last time visiting this restaurant

Nice service but the food was below average. Great facilities for the kids but we were not fussed on the menu.

Lots of children running around going crazy over the lollies on offer, thought that was a very bad idea
