We had booked a table for and were seated downstairs, we placed an order for drinks and the waitress was gone as soon as we had said which bottle of wine, with no option to order anything else (like water). After the wine was...brought to the table we waited for someone to take our food order, no one came to take the food order until (after being called over). They were very apologetic and comped the wine, but the experience was kind of ruined at that point. The starters and main courses were delicious, as were the cocktails. The Rav is a really special little restaurant across from the University, really friendly welcome by staff, and efficient service. They do have a wee terrace that was just off where we were sitting and it was a particularly cold night, which of my...friends really felt the draft, I believe there were challenges with the heating that night too.....The food was DELICIOUS, in particular the baked feta and beetroot starter and the halibut main course, beautifully presented and just the right size! We would definately return bringing more layers!
Fabulous food, service and ambiance! This restaurant is one of new favourites as it really delivers on all fronts. I had the venison, which was the best I have ever had and husband had the burger, which also says was amazing. Service was really friendly...and relaxed, so it made for a lovely evening. Will definitely be back on our next visit to St. Andrews.
Our food was so great. Everyone at the table ordered something different and we all loved it. The server was extremely friendly and full of knowledge. We learned that they were under a new chef team and we can’t recommend enough. Definitely try the bread...and smoked salt butter to start- the Swedish meatballs,venison, and trout were phenomenal.

Having a lazy day we stopped in at the Rav for initial coffee, they were short of space but we were offered the balcony which was fantastic. Having seen the food at the tables we had lunch. Staff were excellent and food was out of...this world. Highly recommended its a must visit
Great food, place absolutely full on a Monday, couldn't fault anything to be honest nice staff, decor is funky, we had starters and main and it was all delicious we didn't have any cocktails but they looked pretty fab too ..we'll be back regularly! Thanks Team Rav
Had a lovely meal here in between Christmas and New Year. Great service from a small team in a relaxed atmosphere. Food was fantastic special mention for the burger which my husband loved, the venison and the smoky salted butter and bread. Would highly...recommend
Fantastic food, great service and somewhere we will definitely return to on future visits to St Andrews. Staff were very friendly and professional and I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

A nice place to go for a treat of a meal out, amazing food and menu selection. Great service and a lovely cosy setting sat upstairs in the restaurant.
Very enjoyable original cuisine with a Nordic flavour. Lovely ambience, pleasant staff and an overall positive experience
