The Raven Inn - Reserva de mesa

After me and my partner made 4 random stops here for lunch we knew that the food was good and the staff very friendly. With this track record it seemed the prefect venue for a celebratory lunch for 25 friends and 4 well behaved dogs. It was easy to plan the menu choices and availability by email and I just provided 90% of the menu choices 2 days in advance. On the day car parking was easy and friends travelling by train or staying overnight in Welshpool were able to stroll up through the town to The Raven Inn. Pre-lunch drinks in the bar satisfied every palate with tasty fresh coffee, a range of Real Ales, wines and soft drinks. Plenty of room to stand, sit and chat, a real fire log-burner a...

We had a lovely meal served efficiently and at a very reasonable price. The beers and mulled wine were also good. As we had a 10 month old child and a 32 month old child with us it was good to find somewhere that could provide suitable seating and a place to one side of the main eating areas so that we did not impinge on other diners. The child menu was suitable for the older child. Obviously we took food for the little one. Plenty of car parking spaces and a convenient location.

My friend and I had an evening meal on Saturday 2nd December 2023. We were seated to our table immediately by a lovely young lady and were given menus. We ordered drinks whilst we waited for our food and when the meals arrived we were extremely pleased at the timing which was perfect the excellent meal presentation and the taste. Linda the manager has created a welcoming ambiance superb food and a perfect location to spend your time here. Well done and many thanks.

we called at The Raven on our way home from Coed y dinas not having booked we thought we would just try it as we had been here before, the lady behind the bar was very polite and said we could sit anywhere that wasnt reserved, we ordered our meals and they came pretty quickly, we both thoroughly enjoyed them at very reasonable cost in a pleasant manner we look forward to going back there, Reserva una mesa ahora

Food was very poor, the meat in the pies was chewy and not edible, fish was limp chips were undercooked and hard. It all lacked any flavour we mentioned to the staff and they said they can’t do anything about it, so really didn’t care that the food was poor. We left leaving mostly in eaten meals. I’d suggest going elsewhere and avoiding.

We were sat in a corner by the noisy kitchen despite the pub being virtually empty-.The staff who brought the food out was lovely that’s the only positive about our experience. Food was awful-we left most of it .We’re visitors to the area and we were really looking forward to a lovely Christmas Eve dinner .Terrible

Came tonight 6/1/2024 for a family meal table of 13. Waiter who took our order was superb we t out of his way to nsur we ha everything we needed. Food well what can I say but absolutely beautiful from BLT to steaks everything was cooked perfect . Our 1st visit here definitely NOT our last.

Stopped here for lunch on our way home from stopping in North Wales. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We ordered faggots and a chicken dish. Wow! The food was absolutely amazing. Such a lovely place and was pretty busy, so obviously popular. Reserva una mesa ahora

Party of 10 of us, all food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The beef brisket was amazing and so much food I couldn’t manage a 3rd course. Everybody friendly despite being a busy Saturday pm. If we are ever in the area again we will come back.

We stopped on Sunday evening had a lovely welcome. The food was lovely will be returning. So cosy with log burners also....could of stopped a lot longer if we were not driving :
