I love going to the Red Lion. It's a fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. The karaoke nights on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 7pm are brilliant. I even get up and sing a bit myself. The pub is a bit small, but it's very lively and everyone is friendly. The bouncers are always welcoming and seem like part of the family. The only downside is that the toilets could use some improvement. I would have given it 4.5 out of 5 stars, but unfortunately, there are no half stars. Overall, it's a seriously fun place with a talented group of regular karaoke singers.
at the arrival I was horrified what I saw, not a whole series of teeth throughout the room. Gin selection was small, but good value for money, it didn't take long for me to get leather. the natives made me welcome, a curvy man was especially friendly (foto fortified) somewhat unimpressed in the time I waited for my song request on the karaoke, the three of us took the long expected moment to blow the microphones, much to enjoy the crowd around us. We have performed at this restaurant as a band before. It started off quiet, but by the evening it was very crowded, just as the bar staff had predicted. The staff were friendly and attentive, showing a genuine interest in our music. The crowd was enthusiastic and by the end of the night, there was lots of dancing, singing, and everyone had a great time...including our band, Supa Nova.
a few years ago when it became the meeting point for the dregs of the city, it was no longer here. it is now back as it used to travel with great owners and excellent beer to spoons. entertainment weekly and beautifully renovated. please keep the clowns out because the pub doesn't need them.
