The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club

This course is in super shape and the greens are the fastest we 've played this year. The layout is very interesting and challenging and you can score if you place your approach shots wisely below the hole! We started at 9:10 so by the back nine we were ready for a cold brew at the half way house I was surprised to find that we have no beer was the response I got. I was a little stunned and thought, perhaps they have a food/beverage cart making its way towards us. I soon was told that The Ridge liquor licence expired and the new ownership has not been able to obtain a new one. ! Heard about the new Chef and was curious to find out if the menu had improved. Sorry to report the regular menu is still very ordinary, but when we were told about the pizza, the decision was made. Not a hard decision (or perhaps it was very hard) considering the selection of pizza toppings is simple and limited.We were able to watch our pizza being prepared and cooked outside on the patio by none other than the new head chef himself. The crust is awesome and toppings tasty. I had the bruschetta, very good, although quite soggy in the middle. The restaurant is very busy this summer and initial service is horrible after several minutes, we had to flag down a server, each time we’ve been there...

we played here last week in July 2021, and had a really good round. The course was a bit wetter than i would have liked, but it had rained a lot the night before. the layout was very nice and tee blacks and fairways and greens were in great shape. clubhouse was very nice, and patio was a beauty spot for a drink and a bite to eat. the price was very reasonable for quality of the course, we paid just under $200 for 2 of us. I thought the starter was a bit of a knob, he was a bit loud and outspoken but we didn't let him bother us. the pace was good too. its hard to play a course for the first time without being able to drive out on the fairways, to get your yardages for you shot... we did enjoy...

I played at The Ridge At Manitou yesterday...I really enjoyed this course, it always offers great golf...but unfortunately, it is currently in terrible condition with sandy, burnt greens and scorched fairways. It's very sad to see the course in this state, as whoever has taken over is clearly not maintaining it well. The food (sandwiches) were also old and stale. The only positive aspect was that the beer was cold. There was no warning from the pro shop about the poor condition of the course. Overall, I was very disappointed. Reserva una mesa ahora

First impressions of the club house left me very disappointed, everything looks dirty and unkept. The men’s locker room had 1 useable toilet out of 4. The staff was near invisible other than Al the former mayor now a starter who was very friendly. The course conditions were wet and basically unplayable at times. The drainage is terrible and some of the greens were also unplayable in some spots. The power carts we got were fantastic. But for over 100$…I have a tough recommending the course as it was today.

After a long weekend we ventured off to the ridge. New Chef. New management. Yes I agree with all those comments in 2017 but so so different. Fire roasted Pizza cold local trestle beer. But if the place is jammed please give everyone a bit of break. Service can be overwhelming and like every place up north restaurants are not downtown Toronto. Cheers

This restaurant and clubhouse offer fantastic food and a beautiful setting with stunning views of nature. Walking the course allows you to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. The experience is worth traveling from any location to spend either a day or overnight.

Visited the Ridge for an evening meal with friends after being told about the new chef. Very disappointed and embarrassed at the poor quality of the food....and service. We were so hoping for better. Such a beautiful setting but unfortunately, we won't be going back. Reserva una mesa ahora

The lunch was delicious and served promptly. The atmosphere and surroundings were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A super spot for lunch or dinner . The food is good and very affordable-not what you would expect at a top notch golf club.
