The River Inn - Reservar una mesa

The River Inn usually offers fantastic food and excellent service. However, during our last visit, we were slightly disappointed with the fish and chips. The fish was small, mostly batter, and not cooked well. We typically order takeaway fish from them and have always been very impressed in the past, so we believe this may have been a one-time issue. The service was still great, and we found it very easy to contact them when booking and making updates. Despite the fish, we will be returning as all of the other food we have had from them has been excellent.

So happy to see the River Inn have opened The Mill in their car park while the main restaurant is closed as we love their food. We visited on Saturday, it’s a really good set up and the service was fantastic, nothing was a hassle, even when they were so busy! The soup and sandwiches were delicious and my daughter had the macaroni cheese and chips which was a very generous portion, she loved it. My son had the home made sausage rolls and said they were very tasty. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different

We had a Saturday night dinner with 11 people and service was slow in taking our orders. One person's mac n cheese was forgotten and had to be remade, which took about 10 minutes. When it finally arrived, it was lacking garnish unlike the other plates. Servers never returned to check on our drinks or water, so we had to go to the bar ourselves. The food was good and portions were decent, and the kids menu was also enjoyable. Overall, I'm hesitant to return in a hurry.

Had the worst experince ever here tonight. Myself and husband orderd fish and chips the chips were like fried mash and the fish was un edible when i complained i was brushed off. when i was given the bill the manger asked about the food i explained and was told that yes at times the fish IS UNEDABLE.This was the managers word he was very aggreissive and did not show any care. Please dont waste your money

Was in here with my wife today, lunch. Wow. Outstanding food. Lentil soup starters, then fish n chips for me which was a huge portion, fish, chips, peas, tartar sauce and a huge pickled onion. Wife had salt n pepper chicken with a Thai dip and spicy salad which she says was absolutely beautiful. Great staff, great service, and spotlessly clean too. Definitely be back soon. Solid

Was attending a birthday party. Portions large. Had chicken pasta. Personally thought chunks of chicken were far too big hence the stars. Otherwise, excellent. Would return.

Had a large family birthday dinner. The food was fabulous, and the staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great meal with the staff to match.

Birthday brunch on a Friday morning. Food was ace, service was great. Understandably it wasn't very busy so 4 stars for atmosphere. Definitely be returning.

Quality food good service. Roast dinner is top quality with all the trimmings.
