The Robert Gillow - Reservar una mesa

We booked this venue thinking it would be a smart wine bar, with small plates of food and a good ambiance. At least the website and reviews appeared to suggest that. However, there were only 2 other customers there when we arrived, half the candles on the tables were lit and the music too loud for an empty bar. The service was just OK and the food had been reheated in the microwave. Being virtually empty on a Friday night says it all. A friend had warned us against it saying it was dingy and unpopular . Disappointing!!!

Went with friends just as a nice place to sit down and have some drinks after a birthday meal for my fiancée. Booked it easy enough, drinks are pricey but worth it, but best of all the staff were really accommodating and friendly. We brought a small cake to have and they took it into the back, lit the candles and brought it out singing and were really sound and cool about it, even though it was a spur of the moment thing. Definitely worth every penny and the staff just made our night.

we had a great evening in crypt fri 26jul 19. the service was excellent, courtesy very friendly staff that could not do enough for them. the cocktails were absolutely delicious! eating was very good, my only criticism was that 2 dishes we wanted were not available and this was early doors and would have understood if we were to eat later. would definitely recommend this place.

good selection of beer, of which I had the amber served well maintained. the taste was typical of the style. decor sets the ton for a casual, hipster light retro feel. Previous evening was so quiet, but the ambiente was relaxed and covered. will definitely be back to visit.

it is rare that I write an evaluation, especially while I still sit at the place. extraordinary service, sam served us and we were blown away from their knowing how personal and nurturing it was. a clear passion and care for her job, very impressed.

friendly place, great personal good beer, attractive clean spot and had good entertainment at the evenings we visited. not want much more of an evening in the pub

Nice friendly pub with wide range of good beers at very reasonable prices. Just a shame they weren't doing meals tonight I was looking forward to dining.

I had my 40th birthday party here, the staff, the room, the food were all excellent! in so satisfied we booked here and would recommend it to everyone x
