Rarely do I leave a review when I dine out but have on this occasion as I feel it needs to be at least reviewed by someone going for the first time and what to expect. We have no issues with paying for good service, good food with a lovely atmosphere. Sadly this day lacked all of the above. Over priced, small portions nothing special food wise. uninterested staff lacking any enthusiasm including the Management who sat on her phone most of the time but when we questioned why service took so long we were told they were busy? 6 cars in the car park and 1 hour 20 minutes for 4 meals to arrive. Had a wonderful Sunday roast with the grandchildren, the portions were plentiful for both adults and children. We enjoyed the garden after our meal and the children could have spent hours on the park and playing field’s. Some DJ”s arrived shortly before we left and the atmosphere was building towards what looked like would be great night..it was a shame that we had to leave but our grandchildren we’re due their afternoon nap. Will definitely return!

Didn't eat as couldn't wait another 40 minutes to order. Great pub on a great spot but the service, although not unfriendly, is awful. If you like going somewhere to wait in a queue then this is your spot. This wasn't a one off, I swore I wouldn't go back after waiting for the same time last time. I want to have some drinks with friends when I come out, not sit for 30 minutes in a queue. As said this has been frequent. Won't be going back.

Brilliant service, lovely country pub with delicious food and great menu offerings Will be recommending the halloumi fries to everyone
