We happened to visit during a local funeral gathering, so the usual lounge dining was not available that night. However, we were seated in the bar area, which was not an issue for us. The food was outstanding! The staff was incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. I had the ribeye steak, and my wife ordered the pork chops; both were cooked to perfection, and the cider gravy was delightful. They only serve food from Thursday to Sunday, but we had a lovely experience that we hope to repeat in the future! As an added touch, they even made custard for my apple pie instead of cream, which was a nice surprise!
This charming village inn offers delicious food and reasonably priced ale. The accommodations are very comfortable, impeccably clean, and located in a peaceful area. It's also a welcoming spot for touring motorbikes. They serve a wonderful, hearty breakfast that is freshly cooked to order. The staff is exceptionally friendly, making for a pleasant stay.
We enjoyed our meals of chicken curry and cheeseburger. Both meals were hot and tasty. We sat outside by the river bank. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This café is very close to the river and has been affected by flooding previously. It has done well to recover and be able to stay open. Prices were very reasonable.
This pub is spacious and perfect for unwinding after a long day. The warm and friendly atmosphere is complemented by excellent beer and delicious food. Although they are closed a few days (COVID hasn’t been kind to our pubs), they still offer daily cooking and delivery. I highly recommend this place!

We had an excellent meal for Mother's Day. The menu offered a great selection, and our table of six enjoyed different dishes, all cooked to perfection. It was a lovely touch to receive a complimentary glass of prosecco and a delicious cake for each mother. Well done to Di, Ade, and the team!
Brother-in-Law's 70th birthday Family Reunion (post 2020 lockdown!! . Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Staff went above and beyond. Even decorated the room with balloons and banners. Special thanks to the Waitress who looked after us all evening. (14/9/21
This is a very charming village pub with excellent pub food. It also features an attached village shop. During the Civic lockdown, their deliveries were a lifesaver.
