Good check in from very busy receptionist handling a huge booking over the phone. No lifts in the building, probably not allowed because of its age. Be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs to either the first or second floor. Parts of the old building upstairs is stunning. My single room, 110, was not! Absolutely tiny but was en-suite and a reasonable price without breakfast. Appreciated good supply of tea bags and milk, Also biscuits and bottle of water. I had requested a quiet room and it was quiet once the bar bottles had been emptied in the bins for the night. Good reading light in the room/hairdryer/iron and ironing board. A good night out although disappointing that neither the Katsu curry nor fish and chips available. Service was good. Quite concerned though towards the end of the evening when bag upon bag of dirty laundry was brought into the room and piled up in the corner. It was disruptive and quite frankly somewhat smelly. Some unbagged laundry was put on an empty table and bagged up when the rest had been stacked up. We weren't the only guests in the room and it showed a lack of consideration, and questionable hygiene.
Plenty of space to sit at 10am and luckily no queue to order food. Ordered a large breakfast and tea. Sign on the bar saying no swaps in breakfast items so didnt ask Did ask for crispy bacon though Food arrived within 20 minutes Bacon was opposite to crispy, beans were cold and the hash browns were so overcooked they were rock hard Not what i am used to at a wetherspoons for sure and wont be coming back here while there are other good breakfasts in tewkesbury
I was not asked about the food quality during my visit. Usually, I have had amazing food at this restaurant. However, my Katsu curry did not taste like katsu; it resembled a typical chip shop curry. This has happened twice now. My first visit was excellent, but it seems they may have run out of the correct ingredients. I would prefer to be informed so I can choose an alternative dish.

We always have a fantastic time at this Wetherspoons location. Every time we visit with our two children, the food is delicious and the service provided by the staff is exceptional. We highly recommend this as one of the best Wetherspoons in the country, and we have been to many. Thank you to all the staff for a great experience.
Bit usure when booking, but absolutely enjoyed it and hope to go again. Lovely old sprawling building, loads of character. Only had breakfast so cannot comment on other foods, breakfast was good, hot and quickly delivered to the table. Drinks were cheap as expected, the rooms were comfortable as was the bed. Highly recommended.
Stayed here for one night and it was great. When we arrived the Receptionist was very helpful and carried our bags to our room. The breakfast was good and the waitress Kim went out of her way to help us down the front steps with our cases. Thank you both very much.
Usual Wetherspoons standard of top value food and drink. The garden was lovely as it was adjacent to The River Avon. More umbrellas would be appreciated as it was so sunny but overall such a nice experience.

Sandra was amazing! She was attentive but not intrusive, took great care of us, and checked in with us politely. I hope she receives the same level of care that she provided us at the restaurant!
