I’ve popped into this pub a few times and finally made time for a Sunday roast with my friends, and I’m so glad we did! The nut roast went down a treat, the chicken was very tender, the potatoes crispy (and the cauliflower cheese exceptional). Needless to say we’ll be back maybe for Burger Thursday. Staff were friendly and incredibly welcoming. And made sure the nut roast was gf for my partner. Thank you!

love to support our local pub. food very good, plenty of choice and well cooked. ambience good, sadly the waitresses were a bit slow and didn't really know if there were any specials or anything....bit too busy talking to each other as it was a slow day. but would happily dine there again anytime.

The staff are quirky but pleassnt. The place was very cold. The menu was nowhere near the same as the menu on open table. The change in menu was very disappointing.

Had a satisfying meal the roast was very good missed cauliflower cheese though. Starter had soup and sweet jelly and ice cream enjoyed both.

The starters were lovely we had the prawns and mushrooms. The roast beef and potatoes weren’t great, the vegetables were generous and nice.

As always a great place for a family meal . Good food at reasonable prices and in winter the open fire is so lovely and welcoming .

Haven’t been to The Royal Oak for Sunday Lunch since Lockdown, forgot how amazing the food is and always helpful polite staff.

Garden a bit tired but once we moved inside as it looked like rain, the experience was much better. Nice staff.

Very enjoyable and good roast, only complaint was the roast potatoes were hard

Fab Sunday roast. excellent sticky toffee pudding . Lovely Sunday meal
