The Royal Oak has a very welcoming atmosphere has soon as you enter through the doors.staff are friendly and there are a great selection of drinks on offer.the food menu is excellent and the food tastes absolutely beautiful and well presented a credit to the chef. there is a fab atmosphere and gets really busy so would recommend booking a table if there is a party booking for food. During the warmer months there is a great seating area to the front so you can enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. First impressions really good. Drinks served and ordered light lunch. There is an open kitchen where you can see the food pass. Unfortunately part of our order sat there for approx 10mins and the rest at least 5 mins. We sat looking at it. It was ignored by serving staff and even more orders were added the the pass which was getting very full. Staff were busy serving drinks but seemed to get priorities wrong. When food did eventually arrived it was extremely tasty but only warm. Such a shame. I would return, if only to see if our experience has been taken on board!
