Rating: I recently visited the Rusty Monk in Uptown Whittier, and I must say, it's a hidden gem worth discovering. The beer selection is good I love the 3 6pm daily happy hour! Way more worth it cause the beer is a little more expensive. But quality of the German beer was great! The FOOD is where it's at. Theres a happy hour charcuterie for $19 not bad for the price! Not pictured is the bratwurst sampler, it was delicious, SO SO GOOOD. then the lamb stroganoff the sauce, noodles, lamb was such a good balance. I love stroganoff and rarely get it, but this is definitely the spot to get it.

The food was amazing. Bought a pretzel for the table and it was so soft and delicious. The beer cheese was amazing. So enjoyable. Ate the lamb shoulder stroganoff and it was delicious. I would get it again. Everyone enjoyed their food. They have a great selection of beers and ciders and it was such a shame that I was my own DD. Next time we'll carpool so we can try as much as possible . I would return with even more friends and family to share this awesome place.

They have the best Lamb Burger I have ever tried. They also have a great strawberry-lime (I think) beer that is delicious (if you like sweet/sour beer) but also some more bitter kinds. My friends who have tried their Shepeards Pie claim is great too, but I've yet to try it. They always seat me if I ask, they play good music too (usually music not heard on the radio now) and the staff is always friendly, quick to help. Thanks for the food!

Nice ambiance inside and friendly staff. Unique and good variety of beer on tap. Really enjoyed the flat iron steak and grilled cheese. However the jam in the grilled cheese seemed to not go with it and could've been perfect for us without it.

Finally a restaurant w family values. I received great service by Luis my server. I enjoyed my lamb burger and fries As it was delicious. Their burgers are totally worth it as all ingredients are high quality.

Still a winner. Got some awesome lentil soup. A wedge to die for and of course the pretzel with mustard and beer cheese. Washed it down with an IPA. Great service. Family friendly.

We had the fish and chips and the quiche and both were delicious. Fresh, hot and super tasty. The beer selection is great. Can't wait to go back
