The Sardine Room - Reserva de mesa

My experiences here have been quite inconsistent. One visit was a fantastic five-star experience, but the last two were only mediocre. The server seemed clearly unhappy to be there, and the food was just average. During my second-to-last visit, I arrived around 3:30 PM, fully aware I had missed brunch, but I was unaware that the kitchen closes between brunch and lunch, leaving me with limited bar service options. It would be helpful to have that information on their website. Once again, the service was lacking. I can't shake the feeling that they need to treat and compensate their servers better, as it directly affects the customer experience. I'm not particularly eager to return.

The halibut was a special. It tasted amazing with a perfect sear! My husband is a steak guy and decided to try the halibut and is still talking about it three days later. My seafood mixed grill was so enjoyable. The shrimp and crab cake were delicious, but the huge scallops were the star of the dish. The cocktails were made well. Richard was our server and exceeded all expectations. There was an issue with my mixed grill and it was addressed and corrected immediately. It’s not easy to find service like we had here anymore. Cannot wait to return. Maybe the halibut could be on the menu permanently? lol

The shrimp and grits used to be my favorite dish, but now the grits are loose and too watery for my taste. On a positive note, the crawfish hush puppies were excellent. The outdoor seating area is quite cozy; however, it can get pretty bright since there are no umbrellas to provide shade. Our waitress was exceptional.

Wednesday special lobster roll...they have a lot of nerve. It 's listed as market price. Fine. Tonight the market price of $34 got me the same amount of lobster I get here for Sunday brunch for $17 on a nice avo toast, but now...on a cheap hot dog bun with chips! Come on. Loved our grilled seafood plate. Scallops on it were amazing and so was the spinach. The grain bowl was superb. Perfect avocado and all other vegetables were of high quality. Great restaurant with great ambiance! Oh loved the wine (Rose from Provence). My husband had a NIPA and that was delicious too.

We love this place, but today the service was non existent. We were seated outside and then no one came back for 10-15 min. They ended up seating people next to us and then took their order. We were left waiting: Ended up heading to another restaurant.

Old bald man waiter forgot so much of our things. We had to get our hot sauce and crackers on our own. He had to also be reminded to bring our straws.

The shrimp and grits are amazing, and the Captain's ****** Mary is a meal all on its own! I highly recommend trying both. Reserva una mesa ahora

Carrie, our quick and friendly server, made our girls' night out fantastic. We enjoyed the Caesar salad and raw oysters.
