My family and I had breakfast at Secret Garden Cafe on Sunday, October 22 about 10:30am. We had not made reservations (suggested), so sat outside on the patio. It was covered and there were small fire pits near most of the tables, but the wind kept it a bit chilly for me. My son-in-law and I both had the basic French Toast with fruit and my daughter had the Spanish breakfast. We were all happy with our meals. The servers kept our water glasses full and checked on my daughter's coffee cup frequently. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, but unfortunately does not allow dogs. The patio can get very hot in direct sunlight. The service was average. Surprisingly, the hot chocolate was delicious, as I rarely order it. The food was decent and some dishes were reasonably priced. However, some dishes were on the pricier side. I had the shakeouts, which was quite tasty, but I couldn't finish it after adding on sausage. The sausage was a letdown, as it seemed to be a typical commercial grade link. I love the space--super cute both inside and out on the patio. It was a little drippy when I came, so I sat inside. The service was super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food didn't stand up to the rest of the experience. The beef potstickers are pretty good, but they're completely drowning in a sauce that is quite salty and overpowering. The goat cheese salad tasted like a mashup of two salads, with spiced pecans and dried cranberries on the one hand, and garlic croutons and a savory herb vinaigrette on the other. We were eager to try out this restaurant today, but the host hurriedly and rudely informed us that there was a 45-minute to one-hour wait. Despite pointing out the empty tables, he coldly stated that they were reserved for waitlist customers. In my opinion, as we were present and the waitlist customers were not, they could have seated us and gained some business. I doubt I will attempt to dine here again.

Great first time visit to Secret Garden. Service was really good, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The 3 of us each got a variety of French toast. Each were delicious. Portions were good and the price of 9$ was great!
The crab was absolutely delicious. I couldn't resist licking every bit of the sauce that came with it. The bread pudding was also perfect, with no raisins as it should be. I highly recommend this restaurant, 10/10.
Good food, good ambience, and located in a quiet small town by the river. Crab cake was authentic and delicious, The salmon burger was tasty, Salad was fresh and delicious. All in all, a good Sunday brunch!
Get the Monte Cristo! The food was great but the service was lacking. Good quality food in a quaint setting. Have visited twice and enjoyed both visits.

Beautiful setting. Delicious food and great service. This is a great place for a special occasion. Go early parking is challenging.
