The Shack Eatery - Reservar una mesa

This is refreshing break from the franchise restaurants like Tim Horton's and McDonalds. The barbecue chicken with hot sauce was very good. It's actually not very peppery and had excellent flavour. Garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted potatoes are a winner. The Pulled Pork was too salty. The rice was tasty buy mushy. Coleslaw was one of best coleslaws we've had. Great value and very different from the formula restaurants that we usually stop at.

I have had the pleasure of ordering a variety of delicious meats, sides and sauces at this eatery. The owner and his terrific staff explain the different ways the foods are prepared. Much of the chicken, pork and beef is slowly smoked in-house, the aroma offering assurance that you are in for a wonderful experience. Small eat-in area, but many seem to opt for takeout. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

My girlfriend said we had to go - the food is delicious. Underrated. It was excellent and very traditional Portuguese. All cooked from scratch and very delicious! the owners take great pride in what they do and offer. I had the chicken plate. The chicken was moist and amazing. The portions are very generous. The prices are very reasonable. We took our dinner home to eat. I look forward to when they open their dessert shack.

I was taken here by a friend that assured me I would love it - he was right. Don't let the outside fool you - it may look small and unkempt, but the food is great. A small menu lets them focus on delivering great good quickly, the staff is extremely nice and outgoing, the portions are huge for the price, and the taste is exquisite. It's right off the highway, and it's definitely worth a stop if you're nearby.

Placed a take out order tonight for 2 of the same sandwiches. They were soggy upon delivery and were made differently. Asked for basil aioli on my sandwich and it got put on my potatoes. I was clear with my words over the phone but still didnt get my order right. I will order again in hopes of having a better experience.

If you haven't tried The Shack you should head over there immediately! I had the Chicken Plate with Baby Potatos, Basil Aioli and Slaw. You can also order a Family Meal with a whole chicken and sides to go. Very friendly and helpful service.

Today I had the Shacker. Cold sliced rare roast beef with all the fixings on a Kaiser with garlic basil aioli roasted potatoes and a beverage. Absolutely full of bursting flavors and such dynamite friendly service. My third visit.

Ok this place is a Gem! The staff are so friendly, and they work hard to ensure constantly delicious food. The chicken and ribs are AMazing. And..I almost didn't write a review because I want to keep it all to myself. Haha

stopped for a quick platter to take home, had pulled port and 1/2 chicken with sides. All very tasty, a good value. Will defiantly stop again. Do not let the lack of cars deter you, most people take out.

A great little place with delightful Portuguese food. Good choices, and very filling. We'll return!!
