We decided to get takeout from The Shamrat and ordered a vegetarian set meal for two. However, we were surprised to see that we were charged more than what was listed on the menu. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm when we received it. To make matters worse, instead of receiving vegetable samosas as we had ordered, we were given meat samosas which we couldn't eat. Overall, we would not recommend The Shamrat for takeout, especially if you are a vegetarian.
I will never visit this restaurant again,went last night and was given food leftover from someone else's plate,ordered thali which has a selection of curries and tandoor meats ,the seek kebab was stone cold and squashed which means it was left over from someone else's plate,we are pro chefs and know.prerty despicable ,it's the second time this has happened in Southport at another Indian restaurant .they think because you are tipsy you won't know. Out of order.
Best Indian takeaway I had for a while, the delivery time was perfect. Never been able to finish the tub to myself but tonight I truly demolished it all. I would happily order from there! I ordered takeout at 5:35 and it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. The food looked warm, but I would recommend dining in at the restaurant instead. The takeaway service was disappointing and it brought down the overall experience. I would rate the restaurant an 8. Reserva una mesa ahora
My first time visiting here and I will definitely be back. The food was great and the service was excellent despite being very busy on a Saturday evening. I had lamb lazeez and it was very delicious. We all had a great evening and see you again soon.
This restaurant is really good the atmosphere is lovely the staff are charming and the food is excellent, one of the best flavoured Indian meals that I’ve had, I’d highly recommend this place. Also the spices were very subtle and delicious!
Food and service was amazing, starters were unreal. Defo the best indian in Southport. Will definitely be coming back.

"Excellent meal on a last minute reservation. Pizza's really are good and the place has a great atmosphere. I just wish they'd fork out for a RSJ and make the side section open into the rest of the main back of the restaurant."
