The Shepherds Rest

Nice site next to a road which is fairly busy and noisy. Toilet and shower clean and functional. Pub has good beers and food. They had a karaoke one night which was noisy but finished at 10pm. A bit of a walk into the town and a steep walk back. The noisy road is the only thing that annoyed us but our pitch was nearest to the road.

Dog friendly beer garden, lovely staff and a decent Sunday lunch with proper sliced roast beef! Nice to have separate vegetables. Toilets are modern and clean too. The beer garden has a lovely view of the local countryside with camping field on site.

I had a delightful Sunday dinner at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making for a pleasant dining experience.

well ready for a rest of the trip, so was pleased that not in the position to stay on the residential property.
